Alive with electric flashes of blue, green and pink, this antique Opal cabochon is the dreamy heart of an Edwardian cluster. Encircled by a scalloped halo of old-cut Diamonds set in Platinum with delicate milgrain, the white-metal head sits gracefully atop an 18ct Gold shank for that quintessential two-tone elegance.

Dated to c.1909, the ring’s refined pierced gallery and crisp bead settings speak to the finesse of the era. The Opal weighs approximately 0.80ct, its luminous play-of-colour complemented by around 0.25ct of bright old-cut Diamonds for a sparkling, floral silhouette that feels romantic, timeless and effortlessly wearable.

Opal measures 6.5mm long x 5.5mm wide, weighing approx. 0.80ct.
Diamonds measure approx. 1.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.25ct combined.
WEIGHT: 3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Platinum settings, Natural Solid Opal (0.80ct), old-cut Diamonds (0.25ct).

STAMPS: 18ct PT.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Opal displays vibrant play-of-colour with no noticeable chips or abrasions, and the old-cut Diamonds are bright and securely set with crisp milgrain detail. The Platinum head and 18ct Gold shank are in lovely condition with only light surface wear commensurate with age. No obvious signs of resizing or repair are present.
