Paste jewellery is a special type of flint glass that emulates a number of gemstones. The origins of Paste jewellery date back to the mid-18th century, to a jeweller named Georges Frederic Strass, who worked as a jeweller to the king when he moved from Strasbourg to Paris in 1724.

Witches' hearts were given as proof of being bewitched by love; this Victorian Diamond Paste pendant is the ultimate token of love! A romantic gesture not only for valentines, she will win hearts all year round.

VERY GOOD. This Victorian Silver Diamond Paste witches heart pendant s in very good condition! Each of her Paste gemstones are secure and present. Two of the stones in her bale are darker in colour due to some previous damage to the foiling, but this does not affect her overall splendorous appeal. Her Sterling Silver has accrued a lovely patina with only some minimal wear but nothing untoward. Her bale is securely soldered allowing you to pair this charm with a thin chain and suspend her across your décolletage with ease!
