Diamond-set bows nestle between three colourful Opals in this Victorian 18ct Gold ring, dated circa 1897. The oval cabochons display bright green, blue and orange flashes, while the little bows add a playful sparkle across the face.

A tall open gallery lifts the stones above the band, with curling Gold details at the shoulders. The rounded Opals and crisp bow shapes create a lively contrast, framed throughout by the rich warmth of the Gold.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring band tapers from 8mm at the front to 3mm at the back.
Opals graduate from 6mm long x 3.5mm wide x 2mm deep to 7mm long x 4mm wide x 2.5mm deep.
Diamonds vary from 1.5mm to 2mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 5.5g

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold.

GEMSTONES: Opals, approximately 1.00ct combined; Diamonds, approximately 0.15ct combined.

HALLMARKS: Crown, 18, Birmingham and date letter x for 1897, as recorded in the stock notes.
