GOOD-VERY GOOD. A beautiful and mystical Victorian 15ct Gold Amethyst Pearl ring offered in lovely condition. The star of the show is undeniably the lovely Amethyst, which boasts a bright and vibrant grape tone, with no chips or scratches to note. The Gold is sumptuous and the band still retains much of her original splendour. The hallmarks, although slightly obscured by a previous re-sizing, are plain to see and easy to identify. The ring is dated confidently as mid-Victorian, 1866 to be precise! The Pearls do have light wear to their nacre, but appear to be set securely and there is no movement in the Amethyst. For a ring that's 157 years old, she is extremely beautiful, although we would recommend only light or occasional wear to help preserve her beauty for years to come.
