Perpignan Garnets are incredibly rare, being extremely fashionable in the Georgian period. They are no longer mined, making this piece highly desirable.

Crafted into glittering rose cuts and pear cut droplets, this piece will simply look sensational no matter how you wear her! At 14 and 3/8" long, she will lay elegantly poised upon the collarbone.

MEASUREMENTS: 37cm or 14 & 3/8" long.
Pear Cut Garnets 10.5mm long x 7mm wide. 
Rose Cut Garnets 6.1mm diameter.  
Weight: 26.4g

MATERIALS:  800 Silver, Perpignan Garnet. 

HALLMARKS: None present, tested as 800 Silver.

EXCELLENT: This rare Georgian Perpignan Garnet Riviere necklace is in magnificent condition. We cannot detail how exceptional this piece is and thus why any Georgian antique aficionado would be drawn towards it. All of the Garnets have a charming slight variation in hue, pertaining to their natural origins and they are secure in their settings. There are some light dings to the 800 Silver, as commensurates her age, but this is hardly noticeable when worn. Overall, an incredibly beautiful Perpignan Garnet necklace to have in your antique collection.
