This Georgian Maltese Cross Paste pendant is superb!
This sparkling Paste cross pendant is a genuine piece of Georgian jewellery, crafted circa 1820. Set with countless precious paste gems in a traditional Maltese cross design, it has Silver settings and is Gold backed, as was customary at the time.
The pendant is a wonderful size; big enough to make a statement, but not over the top or cumbersome.
Rare and highly collectible Paste jewellery is currently undergoing somewhat of a renaissance at the moment, and we can understand why! They glitter like Diamonds in the light; only they've come into being by the fine skill and craftsmanship of man rather than nature.
This pendant is a tremendous example with the original, beautiful, gem-set bale and a wonderful character and radiance.

The pendant is superb, and all parts are original antique Georgian. Each Paste gemstone is full of radiance and life, with an amazing sparkle, and there is no damage to be seen. The Pastes are immaculate; no chips, cracks or abrasions. You can see they have been well cared for and each facet edge is sharp like a Diamonds! The foil behind each Paste is still intact so they sparkle beautifully day or night. The bale matches the design and proportions of the cross perfectly so we know they are an original pairing, which again is incredibly rare! What a fantastic piece of history!
