What an exquisite pair these Georgian flat-cut Garnet Turquoise pansy earrings are! Inlaid with juicy, cherry-hued flat-cut Garnets and tantalising Turquoise cabochons, these are a characterful, colourful pair which await their perfect owner.
Crafted from solid antique 9ct Gold, they boast smoothly polished Garnet settings that are oh so satisfying to the touch! The fabulous foils catch the light in the most magical way, enhanced by the highly sought after flat-cuts. They will slide beautifully into your lobes where they will reside all day and night long.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings including hooks are 36mm long.
Pansies are approx. 19.5mm in diameter.
Garnets are approx. 8mm long x 5.5mm wide.
2x smaller Turquoise cabochons are approx. 3.5mm in diameter.
2x larger Turquoise cabochons are approx. 4.5mm in diameter.
Weight: Earrings (excluding box) are 5.7g.
MATERIALS: Earrings: 9ct Gold pansy drops, 15ct Gold wires/ French hooks, Georgian flat-cut Garnets (natural, foiled), natural Turquoise. Antique box: faux Leather, cream Satin and Velvet, Gold trim.

Condition:
VERY GOOD. What an exceptional find these Georgian flat-cut Garnet Turquoise pansy earrings are. The pansy motifs, so typical of the time, have been lovingly kept in very good antique condition. All the Garnets are a well-matched hue, and are completely free of any chips. The original 9ct Gold collet or "crimped" settings from the 1800-1820's are all in good order - secure and just as beautiful now as on the day they were made. The Turquoise cabochons are not only a great colour, but also appear to be original. We believe the 15ct Gold wires are a later addition, most likely Victorian and not contemporary. They sway nicely in the ear, the wires are comfortable to wear, and the backs of the pansies are just as beautiful as the fronts - just a delight to behold! Complete with a gorgeous fitted antique box, these earrings will last for generations to come.
