A rare 18th-century Georgian 9ct Gold oval mourning locket! Crafted from a rosy-hued 9ct Gold, her soft navette shape is engraved with scallop shapes on the side and pin prick dots on the other. The solid Gold border encases rare blonde hair work which is visible from either side. 

In traditional Georgian style, mourning jewellery was formed in memory of a loved one, which makes us wonder about the history of this gorgeous piece! Offered in fantastic condition and boasting rare blonde woven hair, she makes a great addition to add to your Georgian jewellery collection.

Locket itself is 24.5mm long x 17.5mm wide.

EXCELLENT. A splendid Georgian 9ct Gold oval mourning locket in mint condition! Her border has a vibrant colour throughout and her bale makes her easy to attach to a fine Gold chain. Her hair is still beautifully plaited and overall remains in great condition for her age!
