This Georgian 9ct Gold Carnelian witches heart pendant is perfectly formed! Gorgeously plump and smooth to the touch, this pendant is composed of amber hued Carnelian, exuding warm autumnal tones. She has been beautifully carved into a classically Georgian and symbolic "witches heart".
The tail of a heart curves to the right-hand side, a shape that has been in use since the 15th century! Known to symbolise love, loyalty and protection, it was said that tiny witches' hearts were often pinned onto babies' blankets to protect them from evil. Often sentimental, Georgian jewellery will always make an exquisite gift.
