Revel in the beauty of this Georgian 18ct Gold Enamel Garnet mourning ring, complete with an antique box. This mourning ring is quite incredible, with an impeccably Enamelled shank, flat cut Garnets and engravings all contributing to her charm.
Mourning rings were favoured by the Georgians as a way to remember loved ones who they'd lost, and you can read more about it on our blog page. The Enamelled border reads 'Elizabeth Hoskins, OB: 5 SEP 1766, age 67', and the inside is engraved Edward Hoskins, OB: 22 AUG 1742, age 54. We can only assume that they were once lovers or partners, making this an uber romantic piece.
This exquisite Georgian ring is presented in an antique box, in which she sits splendidly, allowing you to keep her safe when she's not on your finger.

EXCELLENT. This Georgian 18ct Gold Enamel Garnet mourning ring is quite frankly incredible. Over 250 years old, it's as though no time has passed at all. The Enamel work on the outside of the piece is absolutely sublime, with every letter legible. The inside of the band bears engravings which are also still entirely legible. The Garnet gemstones are securely set into place, and the centre cyphers have kept their shape. We can't fault this incredible antique mourning ring.
