One of the most exquisite pieces in our current collection, this Georgian 18ct Gold Emerald Paste rivière necklace is deserving of the spotlight! Steeped in grandeur, this Georgian beauty is over 200 years old and boasts twenty-five magnificent Emerald Paste gemstones, each with a deeply saturated green hue that rivals any Columbian Emerald and complements the rich 18ct Gold perfectly.
Paste was an innovative new material first invented by Georges Frédéric Strass in the 1700s, as a way to emulate the beauty of real gemstones. Each one of these delicious green gemstones is encased in an ornate 18ct Gold claw setting, with a little forget-me-not flower nestled in between each- symbolic of true love.
With a long history behind her, you won't be able to resist being part of this piece's future!

VERY GOOD CONDITION. This Georgian 18ct Gold Emerald Paste riviere necklace is in very good condition. The Paste has the most delicious hue, each one has been beautifully cut and is gorgeously smooth. Due to this antique necklace being over 200 years old, the Gold flower links do differ slightly in both colour and style as they hand-made. There are two links which are not flowers, but they do blend in very well, and match in terms of their beaded detailing.
The solid 18ct Gold claw settings on the stones have lasted incredibly well overall, there are a few little claws missing on the stone which holds the clasp, however we have inspected it carefully and you can be assured she is structurally sound. We absolutely adore this piece, a true authentic Georgian beauty. You'll want to keep this piece for all of your special occasions due to her delicate nature, so we recommend you avoid wearing this piece with any clothing it will catch on! This is a true show-stopping antique Georgian necklace that will make others turn green with envy!
