Description:

This Georgian 18ct Gold Amethyst Jet pendant oozes seduction and is just too good to resist! The deep inky hue of the Jet offsets perfectly against the violet tones of her cabochon-cut Amethyst, making for a gorgeously gothic pairing- a duo often found within Georgian jewels.

Jet was often used in mourning jewellery and worn in remembrance of a dearly departed family member or friend. Queen Victoria even wore Whitby Jet as part of her mourning dress after Prince Albert's passing.

At over 200 years old, she possesses a timeless beauty that is still adored just as heavily today! Set entirely in warm 18ct Gold, her soft crescent shape radiates splendour as she adorns your décolletage, ready to add a splash of elegance to any attire!

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT. Originally a brooch with a damaged pin that was beyond repair, this Georgian 18ct Gold Amethyst Jet pendant has been given a new lease of life! The Amethyst cabochon is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches to note. The Jet are all present and securely set. There are some remnants of the old brooch to be seen on the back from the conversion- but it's been done sympathetically to the piece and cannot be seen when. the piece is worn. The back feels smooth and sensual against the skin- just like Georgian jewellery should!
