My goodness, do we have a treat for you! This Georgian 15ct Gold Sapphire cabochon double drop pendant, dating back to 1820, is a truly show-stopping piece. Focusing our attention on her jaw-dropping 37.40cts of Sapphire, with their soft cornflower blue hue creating a mystical allure, with lavender undertones and a radiating glow billowing across their smooth cabochon surface.

Crafted from buttery 15ct Gold, this antique drop pendant wouldn't be Georgian if her Sapphire cabochons weren't hugged by pie crust settings. Once threaded onto a chain with her discreet bale, the lower Sapphire has a beautiful fluid movement.

Binding this Georgian Sapphire pendant together is her floral cannetille detailing, formed from 18ct Gold. The spiraling cannetille bud at the centre brings bundles of femininity and Georgian charm to her blooming flower. With attention to detail in every crevice, you will never tire of admiring this Georgian Sapphire pendant!

Top Sapphire is 16.5mm long x 12.5mm, weighing approx 18.75ct.
Bottom Sapphire is 16mm long x 11.5mm wide, weighing approx 18.65ct.
Total carat weight approx 37.40ct.
Weight: 11g

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold centre, 15ct Gold settings, Sapphires (37.40ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made prior to 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This Georgian 15ct Gold cannetille cabochon Sapphire double drop pendant is in very good condition! The Sapphire cabochons are secure within their pie crust settings, with a wonderfully plump form. They possess beautiful natural inclusions that create a unique refraction and play of light. On the bottom Sapphire there is some small surface wear but this cannot be seen when worn. The Gold is rich and buttery with the cannetille detailing remaining crisp. There are some light areas of wear commensurate with her grand age but nothing untoward. With a unique bale sitting at the back of the larger Sapphire, this Georgian pendant can be worn with confidence!
