A romantic Georgian 15ct Gold Garnet Witches heart brooch! Bursting with sentiment, every curve of this witches heart is embellished with twinkling pink flat-cut Garnets.
This late Georgian brooch has a super sweet meaning, it signifies being 'bewitched' by someone, and was a popular love token during the late 18th and 19th centuries!

MEASUREMENTS: Witches heart pendant measures 25.5mm long x 23mm wide.
Flat-cut Garnets graduate from 2mm in diameter to 2.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 3.5g.
MATERIALS: 15ct Gold, 9ct Gold, Flat Cut Garnets.
Brooch tests as 15ct Gold, pin tests as 9ct Gold.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made prior to 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD: We present this Georgian 15ct Gold Garnet Witches heart brooch in very good condition. All of the flat-cut Garnets are present and securely set. The 15ct Gold has minor signs of age-related wear. Note this brooch does not have a c-clasp hook - she has never had one as she functions differently from the rest! The pin is designed to rest against the brooch exterior, and the fabric or ribbon must be threaded through from behind. Due to this, she is more suited to a thinner fabric, ribbon, or scarf, rather than a thick lapel.
