This antique treasure features a gorgeous natural Amethyst set in warm 15ct Gold. The stone and settings are Georgian, and the hasp (where the chain goes through) was a later addition made in the Victorian era.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made prior to 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition:
Excellent: There is some colour zoning in the Amethyst, but this is normal in a natural gemstone and doesn't detract at all. The brooch itself is Georgian but hasp is a Victorian addition
