This Edwardian "Wood Opal" Rock Crystal pendant is exceptionally rare. Complete with its original fitted box, this treasure was originally given as a Christmas gift in 1903.
This antique pendant is steeped in history with a superb petrified fossilized Wood Opal cabochon at the centre. Its elegant drop design will instantly complete a necklace stack, with the Pearls and Rock Crystal details bringing that final flourish of excellence. Whoever originally received this on Christmas day over 114 years ago was very lucky indeed!

HALLMARKS: Tests as a solid 18ct Gold pendant with 9ct Gold (bloomed) cabochon setting around the Wood Opal. "EVERSHED & SONS, GOLDSMITHS & JEWELLERS, 52 WESTERN RD, HOVE BRIGHTON" gold inlay on satin.
EXCELLENT: This Edwardian "Wood Opal" Rock Crystal pendant is in superb condition, excellently preserved through time. We love that the original meaning and history of this pendant has remained, giving you not only a beautiful piece but also a pendant that has a story to tell. All of the gemstones are secure in their settings and with no signs of wear to their surface. The box itself does show some minor wear to the front, and to the Gold lettering inlay inside. However, the "XMAS 1903" lettering is fully intact and the interior linings are perfect.
