This brown "Tortoiseshell" necklace box is superb! Crafted from gorgeous brown exterior and a plush velvet interior, this piece would be the perfect fit to a strand of Pearls. 

This necklace box was crafted by "Aldred & Son" a prestigious and historic Norfolk jeweller and watchmakers. We believe that this necklace box was crafted in the mid-20th century, and would look gorgeous upon your dressing table.

ERA: Vintage Mid-Century, c.1930-1950. 

MEASUREMENTS: Box 9" long x 2 & 1/2" wide x 2.8cm thick. 

MATERIALS:  Brown "Tortoiseshell" wrap, Cream Velvet and Satin interior. 

HALLMARKS: "Watchmakers to the Admiralty, Aldred & Son, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, Gt Yarmouth, est 1795".

EXCELLENT: This brown "Tortoiseshell"  necklace box is in fantastic condition. The "Tortoiseshell" patterned wrap is completely intact and is crowned by a lightly faded Gold trim. The interior is also immaculate, with the "Aldred & Son" stamp clear and easy to read.
