A perfect example of the Egyptomania which gripped during the 1920s, every crevice of this pendant is delicately detailed. You'll even find a Silver baby Moses nestled snugly inside the basket! ERA: Art Deco (1920-1939).
MEASUREMENTS: Pendant including jump-ring is 25mm long x 15mm wide.
Baby is 10.5mm long x 8.5mm wide.
Weight: 4g.
MATERIALS: 800 Silver (Gilded), Enamel.
HALLMARKS: "800" on lid. Tests as solid 800 Silver throughout.
Condition:
VERY GOOD. This Art Deco Egyptian Revival Silver Enamel Moses basket pendant is in very good antique condition. The Enamel has largely lasted beautifully, with only a few corners chipping away slightly in places. The hinge is in fine working order, with the lid to the pendant opening and closing securely. The Gilded 800 Silver is in wonderful condition, with only some subtle wear to the underside of the lid. Overall, this is a beautiful pendant which has been well preserved over the years.
