Paste jewellery is a special type of flint glass that emulates a number of gemstones. The origins of Paste jewellery date back to the mid-18th century. Much of the beauty and appeal of antique Paste jewellery is that it was such a difficult and labour-intensive thing to produce.

VERY GOOD. The sweetest antique Sterling Silver Paste swallow pendant in lovely condition throughout. Her Sterling Silver is sturdy with very minimal surface wear to note. Throughout she has got a lovely patina that only adds to her antique charm and helps her Paste stones pop. Each of the Paste stones are secure in their settings and make her a truly glamorous piece. In her previous life, she was a brooch but has been lovingly converted into a pendant, now the star of the show sitting centrally below your collar bone. A great addition to any antique jewellery collection!
