Paste jewellery is a special type of flint glass that emulates a number of gemstones. The origins of Paste jewellery date back to the mid-18th century. Much of the beauty and appeal of antique Paste jewellery is that it was such a difficult and labour-intensive thing to produce.
As we know, Victorians loved symbolic sentiment behind their jewellery and this swallow pendant is no different. The swallow was a popular motif and would have been worn as a symbol of hope and new beginnings. You won't want to miss a chance to own this fabulous piece of history.
