A striking antique 9ct Gold masonic ball pendant! Masonic ball pendants were originally worn around the neck during the 19th century, a discreet way to pay homage to the Freemasons. 

When closed, she holds a perfectly spherical form, boasting a buttery Gold hue, however, if you lightly pull her arches bale a cross formed of 6 pyramids unfolds! In true Victorian style, she is rich with symbolism and sure to be a talking point!

MEASUREMENTS: Masonic ball is 24.5mm long, including jump ring.
Masonic ball is 16mm in diameter.
When opened the cross is 43mm long x 32mm wide.

MATERIALS:   Case tests as 9ct gold, internal pyramids test as Sterling Silver (gilded with 9ct Gold).

STAMPS & HALLMARKS:  'J.H.W' 'MADE IN ENGLAND' on outside of masonic ball.

Condition:

VERY GOOD. This antique 9ct Gold masonic ball pendant is in very good condition. Her spherical shape has kept perfectly and she bale satisfyingly lifts to reveal her pyramid-formed cross. Her engravings inside, have remained crisp and clear. There are a few signs of wear to the piece, particularly the base of the piece when closed, but this doesn't affect the structural integrity of the piece. A highly collectible piece of Victorian jewellery for your collection!
