EXCELLENT. A rare and highly sought-after Murrle Bennett Arts and Crafts Silver and Enamel necklace, by the renowned British Arts and Crafts jeweller Murrle Bennett and Co. The maker's mark "MB" is clearly shown on the back and is a sign of great quality. The craftsmanship of the Silver is second to none and is offered in exceptional condition. The chain and clasp are all signature of the maker, all original, and in excellent condition. The Enamel has remained intact, brightly saturated in colour and free from any signs of wear.
When we bought this piece, we were provided with a printout showing that this exact necklace was bought at Bonhams and verified by them as Murrle Bennett back in 2012. The mark on the piece itself is well-known to collectors, but if you're a new Arts and Crafts enthusiast this may give you a little added confidence. We are happy to pass this on to the new owner when the time comes! What an amazing piece of Arts & Crafts era jewellery!
