This Georgian 18ct Gold Amethyst Rievere Necklace is absolutely exceptional. Crafted over 200 years ago using the finest natural Amethysts that total an incredible 65.15cts, she is quite the talking point! Each of her dazzling gemstones are enveloped in richly saturated 18ct Gold settings, suspended from a delicate 15ct Gold double chain that lays prettily just above the collarbones. She is completed by a sweet smaller natural Amethyst encased in a 9ct Gold clasp for an extra special touch.
Riviere necklaces were a staple amongst the Georgian aristocracy, and this piece certainly evokes all of the glitz and the glamour from this period. She would look gorgeous at an event, or would add a playful pop of glamour to your everyday outfits.

Condition:
VERY GOOD This Georgian 18ct Gold Amethyst riviere necklace is in very good condition. Her natural Amethysts sit securely in their bright 18ct Gold settings, and the cascading 15ct Gold chain is made up of strong links that lead to a beautiful 9ct Gold clasp. The clasp closes nicely, and contains another beautiful Amethyst, and hook closure, so you can be assured this piece will be secure on your neck. There are very slight surface scratches and natural inclusions to some of the Amethysts, but this only adds to their beauty, and are also only visible under a jewellers loupe! There is also evidence of a conversion, likely during the Victorian period, with the addition of the 15ct Gold chain to make the piece more in keeping with the fashion of the time. This piece would be wonderful at evening events, or to add a flash of colour to your everyday outfits!
