Czech glass is renowned for its quality and purity of colour, and it's easy to see why is this pretty 1940's example!
This beautiful Czech glass necklace is made from 89 individually crafted glass beads cut like a checkerboard, to create that classic play of light within.
We love the gorgeous lilac blue attractive hue!
Back in the 1930's and 1940's the necklace would have been threaded and each bead polished by hand, in a painstaking and labour-intensive process to get finished product.
In fine vintage condition. It would make the perfect "something old" & "something blue" for any blushing bride.
ERA: Vintage - 1940's
MEASUREMENTS: The necklace is 20" or 50cm long.
The larger beads are approximately 8mm in diameter.
MATERIALS: Czech Glass, Metal Clasp
HALLMARKS: None present.
CONDITION: Very Good
A beautiful Czech glass necklace in great vintage condition, complete with the original clasp. The clasp works perfectly and the beads are all in good wearable condition with no cracks, missing or replaced beads. There are two nicks to one of the beads on very close inspection and light abrasions throughout under x10 magnification. These can't be seen when worn and the glass is beautifully bright and luminous in any light.
