A wonderful Victorian Silver Scottish Agate Anchor Brooch! Carrying a sweet sentiment, this lovely brooch is features pieces of beautifully feathered grey Scottish Agate.
Anchors have long been regarded as a symbol of hope and grounding, so this may be just the piece for someone who's been feeling a little lost at sea!

ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).
MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is 46mm long x 29.5mm wide.
Rope is 1mm thick.
Weight: 6g.
MATERIALS: Sterling Silver, Metal Pin, Scottish Agate.
HALLMARKS: Tests as Sterling Silver throughout, with metal rope and pin.
Condition:
VERY GOOD. A Lovely example of a Victorian Silver Scottish Agate Anchor Brooch in very good condition. The grey and white banded Agate is beautiful, with no chips, cracks or abrasions, and is still set securely after over 150 years! The rope does move a little but this is by design, and is very typical of thees antique Victorian anchor brooches.This piece is officially a brooch but could easily be hing on a chain and worn as a pendant, if you think you'd like to wear it like this please let us know and we can dull or shorten the pin slightly, free of charge, so it won't prick you or get caught it any of your clothes.
