This antique Victorian 9ct Gold oval locket displays some really phenomenal embossing and engraving work. It's a repousse design featuring some classic Victorian motifs such as flowers and ivy leaves as well as a blank shield on one side which could be engraved if so desired.
It's 9ct Gold back and front with space for photographs in both sides and removable metal frames to hold them securely in place. At the moment there are some old sepia photos already in place, which you could either keep as a reminder of the antiquity of the piece or take out to replace with your own!
The hinge is nice and tight, and the locket closes firmly with a click, staying shut when worn so this locket is ready to be worn and enjoyed.
ERA: Victorian (1837 - 1901)

This Victorian 9ct Gold oval locket is in very good condition, with nice clean Gold and no scratches anywhere to be seen on the front or the back. One of the faces of the locket is slightly concave as if it had been lightly pressed. This is only visible when the light catches it in a certain way and doesn't really detract from the beauty of the piece; it's more noticeable to the touch than to the eye. All of the original engraving and embossing work is still completely perfect, and the structure of the piece is completely solid! Ready to be worn and enjoyed!
