This beautiful 9ct Gold knot ring is a genuine antique and comes from the Victorian period. It's hallmarked for the year 1876, and was made in the English town of Birmingham.
It's in such great condition it's hard to believe this antique knot ring was made 142 year ago!
As knot rings go this one is quite special. The design is such that is resembles an antique Fede ring; where two hands are clasped in friendship, love or betrothal.
Fede rings have ancient origins and have been traced back as far as Roman times, although some suspect they are much older!
As fashions come and go, and trends diminish it's lovely to think the romance and sentiment behind this Victorian knot ring will remain for years, decades, and perhaps even centuries more. As such it would make a fantastic gift of friendship or a romantic gift to your sweetheart.

CONDITION:  Excellent
A wonderful antique 9ct Rose Gold knot ring in excellent condition. The ring is still as beautiful today as it was nearly a century and a half ago. The beautiful Rose Gold has a rich and warm tone which is flattering on all skin-tones, and the knot is crisp and gleaming with  high shine polish. There are no dents or scuffs to the Gold, and only very light wear to the back of the band. The over-sized hallmarks are crisp and date the piece as an authentic Victorian ring from 1876. There is evidence of a re-sizing inside the band, and this cannot be seen when worn. All in all, it's a delightful piece of Victorian jewellery you can wear with pride.
