Patterned smartly with jet-black Enamel, this locket is dressed up like a Gothic humbug! Between stripes, the inimitable warm tone of its 15ct Gold panels shines through and forms the locket’s edges, which are hand engraved with a wispy chevron.
On the front panel is a raised motif of intertwined ‘IMO’ in traditional lettering typical of the Victorian era – an acronym for ‘In Memory Of’. The locket originally would have served as a mourning piece to memorialise a lost loved one. Inside are two fixed frames so you can tuck photos behind without the fear of them falling out when you open the locket to appreciate them!

VERY GOOD: With minimal wear or damage, this Victorian 15ct Gold black Enamel stripe ‘In Memory Of’ locket is in impressive condition for its grand age. The black Enamel remains glossy and is in near-perfect condition, with only small nibbles missing that aren’t noticeable when worn. Although the original glass is missing from the frames, the frames are fully intact promising a secure place for you to keep two of your most precious photographs. There is some light wear to the engraved details around the edges, commensurate with age. This antique Gold locket shuts with a resounding "click", so you can wear this striking piece with the utmost confidence!
