This superb Georgian Paste drop pendant is a really special piece of antique jewellery! Charisma and charm abound from within its glistening facets, and we can't keep our eyes off it!
If you collect antique Paste jewellery you'll understand when we say, "it has something about it"... Whether it' the fine quality of the Paste, the beautiful design or fine craftsmanship, we can't say...
The body of the pendant consists of two flower-like clusters and what looks like a flourish of leaves, and then a perfectly tied bow below it. And beneath it swings a pendulous pear-shape, glittering and hypnotising with every swing!
Perfect with a niello chain or a simple black velvet ribbon.
ERA: Georgian or Early Victorian c.1830
MEASUREMENTS: 64mm long (inc. jump ring) / 56mm long without jump ring
The largest Pastes are 5.5mm in diameter
The other Pastes graduate from 1.5mm in diameter up to 4mm in diameter

This stunning antique Paste drop pendant is in very good condition for its age. When we consider it was made during the Georgian or very early Victorin period it's truly remarkable that it looks as handsome as it does! The precious Paste is all very bright and full of radiance, with no dark or yellowed stones and they're all secure.
The only thing that's stopped us giving this fabulous jewel a rating of "excellent" is the scratch on the back. It' fairly deep but does not go through the metal and thus, thankfully hasn't affected the gems on the other side. Apart from this and some light wear commensurate with its 200 years the pendant is a glorious and shining example of Paste jewellery from this period, and regardless of the light blemishes is still extremely beautiful and highly collectable.
