Description:

SOLD!

This Steel crested intaglio  seal fob pendant is a charming and rare find! Crafted entirely from solid Steel, her handle is like that of an ornate bell with flourish detailing intertwining throughout.

Her deep engravings show three birch trees encased in a shield with dainty foliage around her side, and a knight chess piece sitting up high. It is hard to say exactly what the engravings represent but with the knight piece representing a medieval soldier, whose job it was the protect others in the rank, this may give an insight as to who it may have once belonged to.

A survivor of two centuries, this  Georgian fob would have been used to seal important letters or documents and still can be today! With room to thread a dainty chain through her, she would also make quite an impressive pendant!
