This Silver Victorian Aesthetic oval locket is such a striking textured piece. Dutifully engraved with abstract ivy leaves and with three-dimensional Silver circular forged details, this antique locket is a wonderful collector's item.
Due to this locket's size and its aesthetic detail, it has so much presence! The style is quintessential of the Victorian Aesthetic movement, a rebellious and punky art movement that embraced nature in the late 19th century. (And considering that this locket is hallmarked to 1882, it places itself right at the beginning of this revolutionary design movement!).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket 44mm long x 36mm wide.
Length of locket including hasp and bale 62mm.
MATERIALS: Sterling Silver.

VERY GOOD-GOOD: This Silver Victorian Aesthetic oval locket is in great condition, considering that this piece is 140 years old. All of the engraved details are crisp, and the locket shuts nice and tight. There is some general surface wear to the textured Silver details, with some minor pin holes here and there. But this is not noticeable when worn, and does not affect the locket's overall beauty. There is also only one frame inside the locket, but you can easily admire the antique hallmarks and add a photograph of your loved one. What a fantastic highly collectible antique Silver locket!
