This gorgeous authentic antique 9ct Gold locket was crafted during the Edwardian era, and is hallmarked for the year 1906.
It's made from a rich golden yellow Gold and features two beautifully romantic images inside. One features a beautiful young lady wistfully holding a red rose, whilst the other portrays a charming young boy in a white and blue sailor's outfit.
On close inspection the young boy's portrait looks to be an original photograph that has been brought to life with colour at a later date.
If you look closely you can see a combination of pencil and oil paint has skillfully created this wonderful little miniature.
A really unique and feminine piece, with the added benefit that you can wear it two ways!
It's a great wearable size and looks fantastic on a simple Gold chain, or as the Edwardians often did, worn on a velvet ribbon.
A selection of chains can be added at the checkout.

What a lovely piece! It's in remarkable condition for its age. The Gold is warm and free from any deep scratches, and the large antique hallmarks are crisp and easy to read- and thus date as original antique. The glass panels themselves are free from damage apart from a tiny scratch on top of the lady's head.
The original twisting bale is in perfect working condition. It screws on tightly and holds the glass panels firmly in place. Overall, a beautiful piece of history ready to be worn and enjoyed!
