This super rare Raj Era Ruby Peridot Pearl 15ct Gold pin set is steeped in British history. Originating in Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta), this stick pin set was crafted by Cooke & Kelvey, esteemed jewellers in the British Raj.
If you are a prolific antique jewellery collector, then really this has to be in your collection. This piece has four gorgeous pins, two inlaid with zingy green Peridots and two inlaid with fiery Rubies. Peridots, Pearls and Rubies were all popular gemstones in antique Indian jewellery and red, green and white were symbolic colours for a bride to wear on her wedding day. So, we surmise that these pins were originally crafted for a bride to be.
