This unique antique brooch is of Austro-Hungarian origin and displays all the beauty and craftsmanship associated with this kind of rare jewellery. The filigree is of supreme quality!

The precious Garnet gemstones are a wonderful rich red wine colour, with a combined weight of approximately 2 carats. They contrast beautifully with the darkened patina and with the gleaming polished spheres of Silver.

This Austro-Hungarian Silver & Garnet brooch is steeped in history, and is a versatile piece of jewellery that can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant.

MEASUREMENTS: The total length of this brooch is 45mm, and measures 32mm across its widest point.
The depth (inc. the pin) measures 11mm, the pin itself being 32mm.
The garnet set in the centre of this piece measures approx. 6mm across its diameter, the beads each measuring 5mm.
Weight: 10.7g

MATERIALS: Garnet, 835 Sterling Silver

HALLMARKS: "835", possible Maker's Mark (faded or poorly struck- unidentified).
