A fantastic Art Deco Sterling Silver Birks bangle.
Henry Birks started this well-known Canadian firm in 1879. He was born in Montreal on the 30th November 1840, his parents, John and Ann Birks had arrived from England in 1832. Henry's ancestry can be traced back to the infamous Sheffield cutler William Birks.
This hallmarked "Birks Sterling" bangle is an impressive piece of jewellery, measuring just over 1" wide! It has a detailed floral and foliate engraved design encompassing the front, and the back is plain and smooth.
It has a lovely aged patina and a traditional shovel slide clasp and safety chain complete the piece.

The engraved front is absolutely perfect, whilst the back has some signs of previous wear. There are a few small dings here and there but all in all she's beautiful! Ready to be worn and enjoyed.
