This beautiful Gold locket was made in the English town of Birmingham over a century ago, and is hallmarked for the year 1911.
This genuine antique locket is in fantastic antique condition with a gorgeous golden glow and high polish. The three dimensional, "puffy" shape of the locket attracts the eye and reflects the light just beautifully. We love the stylish stripes and pretty floral design!
Inside there's an amazing piece of history- a faded black and white photograph of a suited gentleman. I wonder if he originally bought the locket for his wife or sweetheart?
Of course if you prefer you can remove this and add your own photographs to cherish, but we love these old tattered memories that make these items so authentic and special.
A selection of chains are available at the checkout if required. If you need any help or advice choosing a chain length just get in touch- we're happy to help!

EXCELLENT: This stunning genuine antique locket is in superb condition. It opens and closes shut tight and has room for two decent sized photographs. There is no damage whatsoever. The engraved striped pattern is crisp as is the pretty floral motif and monogrammed initials, and there's even an original sepia tone photograph of a chap in a suit and tie inside!
As with the majority of antiques we can see it is a used item but it's been cared for very well, and most of the wear is to the back of the locket where we can see some more pronounced surface scratches. It has one original frame inside. The jump ring and fastening are in good condition, sturdy enough for daily wear going forward. A charming historical gift!
