Luminous foiled gems, a Bloodstone intaglio and rich 9ct combine in this incredible Georgian era key pendant!
Its humble use was simply to wind a watch, but trust the Georgians to know how to turn a chore into a treat! One one side a pretty flat cut Amethyst enchants with hues of lilac, violet and pale raspberry pinks, and on the other a more masculine embellishment of carved Heliotrope (or Bloodstone) lurks with flecks of red on a deep green background.
Both are cradled in a sea of Gold as rich and buttery yellow Gold flowers, swirls and sea-shells flourish.
The large ornate bale is perfect for wearing with a chatelaine or a Gold chain of any length hung about the neck, or in the pocket for an air of mystery!
