This is the most magnificent Georgian fob pendant that we've ever had the pleasure of handling. It is a very rare antique piece and we think it is absolutely gorgeous!
Rather than being Gold plated like the majority of fob pendants, this beauty is uniquely solid Gold, so it does have a lovely comforting weight to it.
On the bottom where the wax seal would have been imprinted is a design of a tree with the intaglio interpreted from French to English as "I die where I cling".
This Georgian fob pendant truly is one of the best we've come across. The intricate design of the solid Gold shows us that the owner would have been in the high-class society of his time! What a wonderfully unique piece of history.
MEASUREMENTS: 19mm wide by 16 long on the bottom seal side.
The whole length of the fob is 26mm.
The bale is 8mm long.
MATERIALS: Solid Gold, Agate
HALLMARKS: None present
EXCELLENT: This rare Georgian solid Gold fancy fob seal pendant has been perfectly kept. The Gold is lovely and yellow, unharmed by time. The Gold craftsmanship is unscratched and as beautiful as the first day it was made. The Agate stone stamp could be used today and still get a perfectly formed wax stamp which is wonderful seeing as it's roughly over 200 years old!
