Words cannot describe how fantastical this Georgian mourning ring truly is!
The flower is brought to life by the plump lustrous Pearls making up the petals of the flower which is complemented by a pretty pink Ruby in its centre. Emphasised by the Emeralds adorning the leaves on the shoulders and the carefully engraved swirled patterns scrolled along the scalloped band. What a gorgeous antique ring!
There is a small glazed panel on the back resting against the finger where a small lock of hair would have been kept during a time of mourning. At the back of the panel, a tiny silk circle rests adding to the decadence which is consistent throughout this piece of antique jewellery.
This rare and beautifully made Georgian mourning ring would be a welcome addition to any collector's jewellery box! As far as antique jewellery goes she's a real statement piece bound to get a lot of admiration from anyone you meet!
