This exquisite antique Georgian Garnet brooch was handcrafted during the early 1800's, and we can only imagine the love and care that went into creating it.
At the centre, a lock of rare blonde hair-work has been plaited and preserved under a glazed panel, whilst all around it a halo of glorious burgundy Garnets glow.
We adore the shape and style of this Georgian brooch too, she simply exudes confident elegance and grace.
With the initials "M.M.J" inscribed on the reverse adding to this piece of antique jewellery's rich historical past, she's a fine collector's piece ready to be worn and enjoyed!

MEASUREMENTS: 33.5mm across x 28.5mm wide x 4mm deep.
The hair section is 17mm across x 12mm wide.
The smaller Garnet are 3mm in diameter.
The larger Garnets are 5mm in diameter.
The chain is 45.5cm or 18" long.
MATERIALS: 9ct Yellow Gold, natural Garnets (foiled), blonde hair-work.
The pin and jump ring is metal.
HALLMARKS: None present, tested as 9ct Gold.

There are no chips, cracks or scratches to the Garnets or the glass. The blonde hair inside is original and hasn't been disturbed in centuries whilst the ornate Gold-work is also immaculate!
