What can we say about this Georgian Cut Steel pendant other than the obvious?! It's rare, yes, and beautiful too. A genuine antique from the 1800's!
Did you know that cut steel was made in such a way that it took hours and hours even to create simple pieces of jewellery, and the more complicated the shape the more time and skill it took to produce? One can only imagine the time and love that went into crafting this beautiful tassel pendant.
With a lace-like open-work flower design at the top and a whimsical tassel at the bottom the pendant is a fantastic mix of feminine, romantic, and dare I say it?!.. edgy!
It's offered in excellent condition and looks fantastic worn on a simple leather cord, a Silver chain, or a wide and sumptuous velvet ribbon as the Georgians would have done.
