This Georgian 18ct Gold Red Black Enamel mourning ring is truly stunning! This ring has a humble inscription dating this piece to 1823, instantly connecting you to its early 19th century heritage. 

The ring has a solid 15ct Gold detailed shank, with a 18ct Gold embossed panel at the centre. Not only does this ring have the classic black Enamel, a sartorial hallmark of mourning jewellery, but it is accompanied by deep burgundy enamel too. This prestigious piece is almost 200 years old, but is ready to serve another lifetime of wear.

HALLMARKS: Tests as 15ct Gold throughout, with the exception of the embossed boder which is 18ct Gold. Inscribed "A.W.NUIT 12th Nov 1771. Obt 31st Jan'y 1823" on the inside band.

It is always remarkable when we find Georgian pieces this old and in such good condition, which is a testament to its perfect preservation. Each finely engraved detail is pristine, and the Enamel has remained in great nick. The inscription inside the band has also not smoothened from wear, still legible and easy to read.
