The Celtic style or "lover's knot" chain measures 56" long and features rare French hallmarks that date it between 1840 and 1879. The links alternate between polished Celtic style links and subtly textures small round links.
Because of the lovely length of this chain, you can wear it double layered, or even triple layered to create a stunning antique necklace cascade that is unique to your own personal taste!

The Celtic knot measures 13.5mm long x 5mm wide.
HALLMARKS: Boars head for 800 Silver, rare French Silver duty mark (Portrait of a man facing left), meaning it was imported/ exported out of France between the years 1840-1879.
EXCELLENT: This French Silver Arts and Crafts era long guard chain is in fabulous condition with each chain linked to its neighbour perfectly. The Silver has a fabulous antique patina which only adds to its charm, and the rare French hallmarks are fantastic to see!
Each of the links has been hand-made with care and has stood the test of time beautifully. The antique bolt ring (which can be used to "double-up" the chain) still works well but can be a little stiff.
