These French 18ct Gold Garnet Paste day & night drop earrings are some of the most splendid we have ever laid our eyes on, they are a perfect collector's piece showcasing the rare French Horse hallmarks dating to late Georgian to Early Victorian era around 1830-1840.
The rose cut Garnet Paste are a typical style from the renowned Perpignan region in Southern France, known for their beautifully coloured and cut Garnets in the Georgian era.
Seductively red drops ooze elegance and grace, surrounded by the French 18ct Gold backs. The earring drops can be taken off for a shorter style, hence "day &night" in the title. Complete with a lovely antique jewellery box, these earrings are absolutely superb!

These French 18ct Gold Garnet Paste Day & Night Drop Earrings are in fabulous condition. The Paste is crisp without any chips, they're brightly coloured and the foil is intact bringing fabulous luminosity. All original components, the lever-backs have the rare French Horse's head hallmark for 18ct Gold, an amazing thing for a collector! The backs close securely so these antique earrings can be worn with complete confidence. One small ding to the bottom pear-shaped drop of one of the earrings, but really quite impeccable condition for dangly earrings of this age.
