EXCELLENT: This exquisite Georgian flat Garnet pendant is an absolute wonder to behold! Circa 1790, this pendant is of significant historical importance and is offered in excellent condition. All of the Garnets are original and intact, as is the beautiful glazed locket back. The gems are a well-matched, rich red-wine colour, glowing from within. All of the garnets are set securely and the fine collet settings ensure this Georgian posey pendant is stunningly beautiful no matter which angle you look from.
The brooch pin is in good working order and the glazed locket back in intact, free from any chips, cracks or nibbles. From the rear-view, the Gold on one of the flowers has some light scratches to the edge- probably where a previous jeweller has tested the Gold. This is quite subtle and in our opinion doesn't detract from the beauty or structural integrity of the piece.
This is a truly astounding piece of antique Georgian Garnet jewellery to be cherished.
