Fully hallmarked to 1906, this Edwardian Silver Connemara Marble thistle brooch is super charming! Inlaid with mossy green slabs of Connemara Marble and shaped into a shield motif, this brooch oozes with antiquity. 

For those who love collecting antique scottish agate or gaelic jewellery, then this brooch has to be in your collection, possessing similar enchanting motifs and styles. Connemara Marble is native to Ireland, and has a distinct earthy hue. At the centre of the brooch is a bright Silver thistle, the national flower of Scotland.

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch 30mm long x 25mm wide. 
Weight: 3.6g. 

MATERIALS: Sterling Silver, Connemara Marble, Metal Pin. 

HALLMARKS:  "WJ" Maker's Mark. Birmingham Assay, Lion passant, date letter "g" for the year 1906 on the brooch back. Tests as Sterling silver throughout with metal pin for strength & durability.

Condition:

EXCELLENT: This Edwardian Silver Connemara Marble thistle brooch is in superb condition. The entirety of the brooch has kept its shape well, and the Metal pin is working just as it should. All of the Connemara Marble is secure, and the Thistle is nice and bright. Not to mention, the antique Silver hallmarks are crisp, so we can confidently date this brooch to 1906.
