This lovely antique 9ct Gold Mizpah ring was made in the English town of Chester in the year 1902 and features the rare and collectable Chester hallmark.

It has a gorgeous mellow Rose Gold colour which suits all skin tones, and looks absolutely beautiful when worn!

Mizpah is a Hebrew word which has come to symbolise a bond of love between two people.  Mizpah rings rose to popularity in the early Victorian era and were exchanged between close friends or family, often after a long separation, and continue to be held in high regard today.

Antique and vintage Mizpah rings are extremely collectable today. Often given as a coming of age gift at Barmitzvahs and Batmitzvahs, Mizpah rings are one of the most sentimental and important pieces of jewellery you can give.

The word Mizpah originates from the bible and is linked to this passage in Genesis: "The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another".

This particular ring is a fantastic example, with big bold lettering and decorative flowers all the way around the band.

EXCELLENT:  A stunning antique 9ct Gold Mizpah ring, in near mint condition. The decorative floral embossed pattern that goes all the way around the band is still crisp and the detail is beautiful! The bold "Mizpah" lettering is smooth and easy to read, as are the over-sized antique hallmarks. The Gold letters have taken on a softened, silky look on the lettering too, but we think that's just charming! It's tactile, easy on the eye, and full of history! A great gift for any collector or someone looking to give a unique and meaningful gift.
