This Edwardian Gold pink Garnet heart locket is enriched with elegance! Studded with raspberry-pink Garnets in a floral design and crowned by an ornate bale, this locket would be a beautiful addition to your jewellery box.
We love the colour of these Garnets, from cranberry to mauve, each Garnet is a delightful shade of pink! The 9ct Gold has accrued a lovely satin-finish from age.
ERA: Edwardian (1901-1909).
MEASUREMENTS: Locket 25mm long x 22mm wide.
Length of locket including bale and jump ring 33mm.
Pink Garnets graduate from 2mm diameter to 2.5mm diameter.
MATERIALS: 9ct Gold back and front, Metal frame, pink Garnet (the gems are too small for conclusive testing, but we do believe they are Garnets, potentially Rubies, but selling as Garnets).
HALLMARKS: "9CT back and front", tests as 9ct Gold back and front with metal frames.
VERY GOOD: This Edwardian Gold pink Garnet heart locket is in fabulous condition for its age. The exterior of the locket is immaculate and both the frames are intact (although missing the original glass panels). There is a lovely variation in the hue of the Garnets, which is to be expected from natural pieces and is not a sign of replacement gems.
