GOOD: A lovely antique dress ring! This Edwardian Garnet and Paste trilogy ring is in good ready to wear condition. The Paste and Garnet gemstones are lovely, with excellent colour and no chips or cracks. The Gold band still has a nice high shine polish to it, and it's very much a unique piece of history. We've never seen a ring like it!
As with most antiques, there is some evidence of wear commensurate with age. It's clear the ring has been well loved as some of the claws on the Garnets are in need of attention. There is no movement in the stones so they are secure for the time being, but we'd recommend re-tipping if you want to wear this ring on a regular basis. There is evidence of a re-size to the back of the band. This has only partially obscured the Chester hallmark and it is still clearly recognisable so we can date the ring confidently as authentic Edwardian. All in all an amazing piece of history that you can wear and enjoy!
