EXCELLENT. A fine Edwardian 9ct Gold Ceylon Moonstone Drop necklace that simply oozes splendour! The Moonstones are of very fine quality, with smooth and globular high domes and an impressive lilac-blue schiller. Each Moonstone is set securely within decorative swirled claws. The clasp itself is also a fine Ceylon Moonstone and closes shut tightly, clearly stamped with an antique '9CT" hallmark. The original antique fitted hard case jewellery box does have some scuffs on the exterior and very minor discolouration on the interior silk, but for its age it is in great condition and protects the necklace perfectly. The colour of the Moonstones vary, with the large pear-shaped centre giving off a strong and dramatic silver-white glow, whilst all the others have a sought-after blue adularescence. Please note this is by design and the centre-piece is 100% original to the piece and not a newer replacement. Truthfully, she is quite spell-binding!
