The beauty of this antique mourning brooch is such that it's hard to believe it was made during the mid 1800's, in the middle of Queen Victoria's reign.
It's clear to see it was crafted with care all those years ago, with lovely 9ct Rose Gold and 31 expertly set natural Pearls.
The Pearls are luminous with a pretty ivory coloured lustre, are well matched and all secure in their settings, and the central glazed panel remains unscathed after 150 years!
Full of nostalgia and sentiment, it will make a thoughtful and unique git for anyone who appreciates true craftsmanship.
Wear it as a pendant hooked on a simple Rose Gold chain or pinned to a wide velvet ribbon for a regal look. It also looks great on a jacket lapel or to secure a silk scarf.

There aren't any chips or cracks to the glazed panel which is very rare indeed, but there are one or two light scuffs on close inspection. It really is a marvel!
